This has always been a dream of ours to write books. This is our first venture into the world of publishing. Many people say that words written from the heart carry a special meaning. Our first book "The Handkerchief, a Civil War Love Story" stands as a testimony in a world where love and devotion sometimes seems forgotten. It is our hope that this story reminds readers what "love lost" truly means.

Steve and Glenda Holland live in the Piney Woods of East Texas, where they enjoy the quiet rhythms of country life - flower gardening, fishing, and simply living each day to the fullest.
Glenda retired after a successful career in the corporate world in Dallas. Steve spent more than thirty years in Texas education, serving rural schools as an agriculture teacher, coach, and assistant principal. His love for history grew through years of teaching both World and Texas History to middle and high school students
This book began as a simple Valentine's letter written for his wife, Glenda. Through the use of AI generated art depicting the savagery of the Civil War, combined with the deep emotions a wife holds for her husband, the idea slowly grew into the letter that grew into a story that became a book.

The Holland's 1863
This year before Valentines Day, I was toying around with a AI Website trying to come up with some cool graphics for a card for my wife. I was impressed with the detail of images it could produce. Being a Civil War "Nerd". I started in my mind to imagine my wife 163 years ago in the Victorian South. I placed Glenda and myself in my time tunnel and started to write about us. The words flowed easily as Glenda and I visualized each chapter. This book is my "Perfect Valentine" for my wife of 54 years.
